Fluens Synthesis AS is a Norwegian stock company located at the campus area of University of Bergen , Norway. During the period 1999-2005, the entrepreneur professor dr. Hans-René Bjørsvik has in collaboration with dr. Lucia Liguori worked on an idea for a continuous flow milli-reactor system for organic synthesis purposes. In November 2005 professor Bjørsvik joined forces with Unifob foundation that is headquartered in the City of Bergen and established Fluens Synthesis with the mission to provide innovative and cutting edge technology of high commercial value for the use in the pharmaceutical and the fine organic chemical industries.
Fluens Synthesis strategy is to be established as a significant provider of advanced technology enabling fast process research and development that easily can be implemented into new and existing production environment.
Fluens Synthesis possess technology for a unique continuous flow milli-reactor system that is dedicated for the synthesis of pharmaceutical and fine chemicals.
Fluens Synthesis possesses high competence and experience within the fields of organic synthesis/process research, development, and optimization, and will thus also offer assistance to costumers concerning the development and implementation of their processes for the milli-reactor equipment and OPRD in general.
milli-Reactor System for Organic Synthesis. The novel Fluens Synthesis technology is called Multi-Jet Oscillating Disk (MJOD) milli-Reactor System was patent applied in year 2005 and involves a new approach for doing organic synthesis. The technology involves a reactor for multi purpose use in research, chemical development and industrial production when used in a "number-up" settings for up-scaled production. The new reactor system makes it possible to perform continuous flow production instead of the traditional discontinuous organic synthesis processes using batch reactors.
